We have classes and private lessons for acting and public speaking for children to adults.  Increase self-confidence and presence.  Please see descriptions below.

Theatre Arts Class (Grades K-2nd)

Youth participating in these theatre classes will begin to hone their natural skills of pretend play to more formal skills in the art form. Students will be guided toward developing group social skills so that more independence is possible. They will use language, voice, gesture, movement, and observation to express ideas and feelings. They will begin to use their senses to observe the world and people and re-create in their minds a feeling or situation to help with character development. They will learn that sense memory, which involves sight, smell, touch, taste, or hearing, is an important skill for actors to develop. Youth will develop these skills through interactive games, and working with texts such as Dr. Seuss and classic fairy tales. The classes will culminate in a final sharing for family and friends.   There are 16 one-hour classes during the fall on Tuesday afternoons (time TBD) starting Sept 6th, 2016.  Tuition is $400.  Contact us for fall enrollment.

Theatre Arts Class (Grades 3-5th (or 4-6th))

children actingYouth participating in these theatre classes will gain a stronger sense of self and also begin to see themselves as a part of an ensemble. Participation in theatre arts as creators, performers, and audience members enables individuals to discover and develop their own creative capacity and enhances mental, physical and emotional well being. They will learn to express themselves with confidence through a variety of vocal exercises and will also increase their body awareness learning how to present themselves with self-assurance. Students will explore the elements of role, focus, action, tension, time, and space through dramatic play and will contribute and develop ideas in drama, using personal experience and imagination. With their newly acquired skills, they can retell a familiar story, myth, or fable and enjoy adding costumes and props to their performance. The classes will culminate in a final sharing for family and friends. There are 16 one-hour classes during the fall on Tuesday afternoons (time TBD) starting Sept 6th, 2016.  Tuition is $400.  Contact us for fall enrollment.
